Why are we doing it?

Customer interviews

The first step of the design process involved user interviews and benchmark research to understand how competitors and users behave. I believe it’s important to get this information early on in the process, before having an idea or prototyping.


1. Identified the target user group who will be using the dashboard

2. Conducted user research by having user interviews with our customers such as EnBW, Deusche Hospitality, Metro Markets etc.

3. Based on the user research created user personas

4. Defined user stories

We provided our user interviews in a playful way, so the interviewees can move items on the board and construct their own dashboards. By doing so we tried to understand the user needs. Here is and example of such Miro board.
